Same person, new contact?

How do you handle the situation where a contact has changed companies and a new contact record is created with updated info for that person, but the former record must be kept as a historical record and so must not be deleted? In the system we used prior to Infusionsoft there was an option to check a box to make a contact inactive but available for historical reference.

@Eric_Wilmot, I’m sorry, but there is no such feature in Infusionsoft. You can suggest it here. What system are you coming from?

I was using InforCRM (previously branded as Saleslogix).
