Add tags based on quantity purchased

I want to identify how many of a product is purchased and use that in tasks etc. I can’t see a way of adding a tag or updating a custom field.

eg. if quantity = 1, then ABC. if quantity = 2,m the DEF and so on.

Any ideas appreciated.
