We use the contact notes are to record important contact interactions, but some contacts are filled with notes from an API titled this - Changed Info for Rest API - addWithDupeCheck. Is there anyway we can stop this from populating the notes area? Or at least remove them?
Hi @Victoria_McGovern, the note record being created when using the REST add or update contact endpoint is the way that duplicate checking works in Infusionsoft whether it’s done via the UI or the API. I believe this note is created as a way of having some type of auditing for fields that may have inadvertently been changed when the duplicate was found and updated.
There isn’t a way to disable this functionality but you could use the API to remove the created note record after the fact.
