Hello Keap community,
We validate our new Keap email addresses through an integration with PlusThis and Mailgun.
The flow goes: Keap >> PlusThis >> Mailgun >> PlusThis >> Keap (tag applied: “deliverable” or “undeliverable”)
During the brownout earlier this week I created a new Contact in Keap with a fake email address: jeremytestapi1@yahoo.com
Our Automation sent the email to PlusThis for validation but a tag was not returned to the Keap Contact: “undeliverable”.
After the brownout, things seem to be working correctly with this integration.
PlusThis uses Auth0 so they should not be affected by the sunsetting of the Legacy API. In Mailgun we have applied the new key (not the old Legacy key).
Could I ask for guidance on why this integration between Keap, PlusThis and Mailgun seems to not be working during the brownout?
Thank you
Jeremy
I would recommend you go to PlusThis and reach out to their support chat directly.
The API connectivity you mention is between PlusThis and Mailgun and PlusThis and Keap, so only PlusThis can see the back-end activity that is happening. (Your connection between PlusThis and Mailgun has nothing to do with the Keap API sunsetting).
Thanks,
Jeff

Okay, thank you Jeff.
I reached out to PlusThis and they confirmed the automation ran correctly.
I think the validator tool may have just missed that this was a fake email. In that case this would be a coincidence that it occurred during the Keap brownout.
I appreciate your response.
