We are having contacts Mysterisouly, disappear. No one claims to have deleted the records, but the contacts, companies, and opportunities are gone. We originally dismissed this as human error, a mistake, but it has happened several more times. Are their logs that are kept to see who has made changes or deleted a record?

You need to get with tech support — with details of someone who vanished — and they can do some research.

I have seen this happen a number of times and it has always been assigned to a person doing it…but, it has never been a person. I’m not saying it isn’t this time but it’s always been, in the past, a process that someone forgot was in place etc…think third party tools like PlusThis, Zapier, Parsey etc.
Regardless, support will be the only one that has a chance of telling you who/what removed them. The other associated items you mention (like opportunities etc, would no longer be visible when the contact is deleted) so it sounds like it’s just the contacts getting deleted, regardless of who/what is doing it.
From a Management perspective - I would love to be able to see this without having to contact IS.
I know we have the Admin reports for Tasks/Notes and Tags etc…
And I still think “Person Notes” should not be able to be deleted.
