Current Contact Referral Partner via REST API

Is it possible to access a contact’s currently associated Referral Partner via the REST api?

Edit:
I should add – I’m not looking for anything so complicated as their referral history or the like, I just want to find out the current referral partner id number for a given contact, so I can assign it during order creation

Went ahead and used the xmlrpc api to get what I needed.
