Siteground/infusionsoft DKIM spf record issue

Hello,

We have setup DKIM and SPF record as suggested in this article - https://help.infusionsoft.com/help/configure-your-spf-records#set-up-your-spf-record but are still having an issue with some of the email accounts. We are getting the following errors:

The response from the remote server was: 550 5.7.1 SPF Policy Rejection
The response from the remote server was: 550 permanent failure for one or more recipients

While checking the SPF record using the Google toolbox, we can see there is a problem in the format - Check MX: There were some non-critical problems detected with this domain.

InfusionSoft support confirmed that the format is correct so we are not sure what the issue is. They recommended we reach out to the community to see if anyone can help.

Can anyone please help us to get this sorted?

Thanks in advance!

What’s the domain name for the sender email address?

getbatsout.com

Ok, so your spf looks ok for using IS/Keap. You do not have a dmarc record setup at all which matters more these days. You can verify if dkim is setup in you IS application if there’s a ‘green check mark symbol’

DKIM is set up and verified. I will work on setting up the dmarc.

Im a little confused, if my SPF record is ok why is the mx test coming back as -

The SPF string can not be parsed, do you have any typos in it?

Decision permanent error in processing
Explanation SPF Permanent Error: No valid SPF record for included domain: infusionmail.com: include:infusionmail.com
Record v=spf1 +a +mx +ip4:35.209.171.172 include:infusionmail.com ~all

thanks!

The spf looks completely right, with the only thing I’d change being that the +a +mx at the beginning is redundant…possibly it’s throwing something off?

ok thanks, we will make the changes and see if it resolves the issue.
