How can you correct the drop down option for adding emails

My custom list has data fields for 6 new email listings. They do not show up when building an email as click options and I would like to know how to edit the drop down box to include my owner entered fields.

The only fields that show up as options for “to” address in emails are Email 1, Email 2, Email 3, and then any custom fields you have that are EMAIL type. If you have custom fields that contain emails, and they aren’t showing up, then I would double check the field type and make sure they are “email” fields.

You can only set the field type of custom fields, not standard field. With custom fields you can only set the field type at the time you create the custom field but not afterward. If you need to change a field type after creating a custom field, you will need to recreate it and delete the previous one.
