The new email builder’s unsubscribe footer has some serious issues. I’ve contacted Keap Support about them several times over the last 2 months but have been told there’s no plan at this time to make any changes to the footer but the Support folks agree that these are indeed issues that need to be addressed: 1. You can’t edit the color, font, or style of the text in the unsubscribe footer. This makes it so the footer detracts from the content of our emails to customers because it’s too dark, not the same font and style, etc. The old email builder did such a better job with this! 2. The apostrophes in our text in the new footer disappear so it’s now grammatically incorrect. The old email builder allowed this and made the unsubscribe footer look so much better: less obtrusive in the grey text color, allowed us to say what we want to say, and held the proper grammar markings. 3. The new email builder doesn’t allow us to create separate paragraphs like the old one did. This makes the text run together too much and it looks horrible and very difficult for our customers to read. As I understand it, the old email builder is going to be phased out sometime this year and everything old and new will be in this new email builder platform. For our emails to look presentable, these issues need to be addressed. Indeed, it’s extremely annoying and unreadable. Keap loses more and more customers due to forced changes, nobody wants - at least the price gets higher and higher with no return of better features, just design. No answer from Support till today. ---

Any updates to this? We have 5 accounts through Keap and we’ll have to move our business if this is not fixed by the mandatory New Builder implementation in March. ---

Last month when I checked in on this issue, Keap told me again last that it’s not high up on their priority list because they say I’m the only one who has let them know that this is a big issue. The more people who say this is unacceptable, then they’ll consider investing the time of their coders to make the unsubscribe footer editable. Please call in and create your own case. Feel free to reference this thread on Keap Integration Q & A as well. The squeaky wheel… ---

As of February 25th email from Keap, they are not going to fix this. We are moving all 5 of our Keap business accounts to Go High Level. But I’m sure they wont even miss the $65K per year we pay for Keap services. So sad, we’ve been customers for over 12 years. Moving on. ---

Seriously considering moving on also. How are you handling the integration (not just the contacts, but automation flows, forms, products, appointments, pipelines, etc etc)? ---

We are snapshotting our workflows and recreating them in Pardot and High Level. Very manual process, but its giving us a chance to purge some old funnels that werent performing well. We have over 700 automations in our various Keap accounts. Been using them for almost 10 years. ---

Thank you. That’s what we’re doing currently. We just put a separate editable paragraph below our email signatures and then pushed the ugly unsubscribe text down farther. Its just SO off-brand and embarrassing. Heck, not sure if you noticed, but not even Keap company emails use the new email builder! Their email CAN-SPAM footers are all nice and edited. Really too bad.
