# Custom fields not getting populated wit res api

I am using res api to create contact in keap including custom fields. The contact get created, but the custom fields are not getting populated and no errors are returned. Can any one please help?

It’s hard to say without seeing what you’re doing in code but the key to custom fields are going to be found in the json string passed. You have to specify the id’s (not the underscore name like the sdk)
